Cry Babies Magic Tears S6 Stars (visual development & production desing)

In this season, the Cry Babies travel to space for the very first time! On Planet Tear, they meet their new alien friends, who live with adorable robot pets and ride around on colorful seeways.

This was my final season working on Cry Babies Magic Tears, and it was a special one. I was fully focused on preproduction and worked under a tight timeline to establish the visual direction of the new cosmic world. I created a wide range of early concept art that shaped the look and feel of this season—and it was incredibly fulfilling to see how the team brought those ideas to life almost exactly as envisioned. The final result on screen was truly beautiful.

One key task was adapting the capsule once again into a house for the series. This time, I pushed its design further by suggesting metallic finishes and textures that couldn’t be applied to the physical toy but looked fantastic in the animated version, giving it a more premium and futuristic touch.

My final contribution to the series was the initial concept design of the robot pets—fun, futuristic little characters that were a joy to create. Saying goodbye to this long journey with such a playful design was the perfect send-off.
