In this season, the Cry Babies discover a hidden underground world after accidentally falling through the Magic Tree’s hole. Their fall leads them through a jungle and into Icy World, a mysterious place inhabited by dinosaur Cry Babies and ancient Egyptian queens.
I worked on early world exploration concepts, shaping a map more complex than in previous seasons. Icy World blends icy landscapes, glowing minerals, dense jungle, and an underground city that needed to feel magical and vibrant—not dark or gloomy.
I adapted the toy packaging capsules into animated houses, and also brought the Crystal Pyramid Playset to life for the series. Designing its interiors was especially fun, filled with thrones, hieroglyphs, floating fabrics, and colorful crystals and quartz details.
I also translated many of the dolls' outfits for animation—some of the most elaborate of the collection. From winged bodysuits and tulle capes to faux-fur collars and hooded crowns, each design required careful adaptation to ensure functionality and visual appeal in animation.
As always, I worked as production designer, reviewing modeling and textures for characters, props, and environments, and ensuring visual consistency between the dolls and the animated version—adding extra layers of detail and expressiveness for the screen.
